Sean began his acting training at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire in 1995. In 1997, he decided to take a different direction with his studies by attending a six-month intensive program at King Alfred’s College in Winchester, England. There he studied performance from a post-modern sense and began to break down the traditionally accepted forms of drama and dance with the help of a small group of U.K. artists. The group then began to develop several pieces of performance from a “physically intellectual” base striving to find an innovative approach to the rehearsal and performance process. The group debuted the work in December of 1997 at the King Alfred’s college; it was received as a success. Enjoying the taste of something unique, that a change in geography can offer a young mind, Sean ventured from the security of the land locked mid-west and transferred to Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. It was at Western where he began to broaden his craft aeven further. Sean studied acting for the camera, dance, post-modernistic and playwriting. He graduated with a G.P.A. of 3.65 and as a member of the Gold Key National Honor Society. Sean was a founding member of the Idiom Theater in Bellingham, Washington. He was directly affiliated with 8 of the 14 productions during 2001 and 2002. Mr. Cook then moved to Seattle in 2003 where he built a non-profit theater company. With his friends helping him they built The Possibilities Ensemble. Sean participates in numerous ways within the company: acting, directing, working as the incorporations desk operator and as wellness director. |
